Today we are featuring a home where the homeowner worked with The Living Door to assist in designing and selecting her interior elements.  The home is a perfect example of a transitional kitchen showcasing white cabinets with an arabesque blacksplash.  Let’s take a peek.  You’ll see Cambria Bentley countertops showcased on the kitchen island and perimeter cabinets.  Bentley’s white background is intersected with bold, translucent black and charcoal veins with muted light gray spatters and cross veins dispersed throughout.  Accenting the perimeter cabinets is a beautiful glass arabesque tile of varying shades of black and grey with some textured tiles intermingled throughout.

What is Arabesque tile?  Arabesque is an ornamental decoration that is originally found in Arabic decoration.  Arabesque tile is basically a surface decoration that has a rhythmic pattern.

Black and White spaces are very popular right now.  Black brings a sense of sophistication to any room.  When mixing black with other colors in the room it really gives a dramatic and bold look.

Move to the master suite where you’ll find Cambria Galloway on the double bowl vanity and bathtub deck.  Galloway is deep and mysterious with a blend of neutral and darker tones set against a luminescent background that shines from within.  The homeowner chose to use Galloway as it reminded her of little streams of water flowing with gold and silver.
