Today we’ll take a trip to Lake Cormorant in northern Minnesota to show you the beauty of Cambria Skara Brae countertops throughout this new home construction project.  The home was designed so the kitchen, dining and family room all face west with views of a perfect sunset over the lake.

The kitchen showcases two massive islands; one with cabinets of black and the other has cabinets of dark navy blue.  The upper cabinets are a knotty alder stained dark brown.  With young children and lots of entertaining the homeowner needed a countertop that would be very low maintenance and easy to clean; but also a countertop that would work well with three different cabinet colors.  In waltzes Cambria Skara Brae that meets everything the homeowner needed – benefits, design and a wow factor.  The homeowners loved the design so much they decided to use it as a full height backsplash in the kitchen as well as the mini bar area.  Then installed some coordinating floating shelves of alder and oh my goodness…it’s a beautiful masterpiece.

Cambria Skara Brae countertops are the perfect design for really any color cabinetry.  It looks great with white, olive green, charcoal grey; and as you can see in this home with dark navy blue and dark brown.  The design is set against a bone-white marbled backdrop, bold translucent taupe-green veins plunge in various directions with subtle white and black tributaries interspersed throughout.  It’s amazing and has become a very popular Cambria design by many homeowners.  Makes a beautiful statement not only in the kitchen, but the master bath, wet bar and laundry room.

Quartz is one of the hardest minerals on Earth. Because of its strength and abundance, quartz is a popular and reliable choice for countertops. Quartz countertops are sometimes referred to as “engineered” or “man-made,” but quartz is in fact a natural stone. The amount of natural quartz in a slab depends on the quartz manufacturer. Cambria is among the highest concentration of pure quartz to ensure strong, compact slabs.  Fuel your imagination – visit the Creative Surfaces showroom and gallery to see the beauty of Cambria quartz.  We have several designs in full size slabs; as well as vignettes and displays featuring a variety of Cambria designs to help you in selecting the best design for your project.  Need a little help selecting the best design?  Our design team will show you all the designs and assist you in selecting the design that fits your style, needs and project.
