The Main Event is the ultimate FUN destination for people of all ages.  It’s a unique “Eat.Bowl.Play” experience with bowling, laser tag, billiards, bar & restaurant.  Creative Surfaces is thrilled to be the commercial casework supplier the Main Event.  It’s exciting for us to build and install product for an organization that’s all about FUN!

The Project

This project required a variety of materials and finishes for all areas including the bowling area, laser tag area, billiards room, party rooms and lockers, the bar and cafe, as well as Winner’s Choice area and all office cabinetry.

The bowl desk and island cabinets all sit on a 5 1/2″ base platform.   The  cabinet exterior walls are Wilsonart “Studio Teak” plastic laminate with Wilsonart “Satin Stainless” on the lower countertops and Daltile “Morning Frost” quartz on upper transaction tops.  The front face has deco panels of 3-form “Connection Repose + Ghost” and backlit with warm white LEDs.   This area has 2 waiter stands and free-standing bowl racks built using Formica “Zebrano” surrounds with Zodiaq “Storm Grey” countertops.  Take note of the 7 columns that have been wrapped in steel 72″ from bottom up.

The Winner’s Choice is home to a desk & portal, rack display, bin island, acrylic displays and display bins.  These cabinets are Wilsonart “Vapor Strandz” with Daltile “Morning Frost” quartz countertops.  The face of the desk is 3-form “Paper Cut + Ghost” and backlit with warm white LEDs.  The portal surround is cladded in a combination of Arborite “Beach Combed” and “Bright Red” laminate.  All other displays are Formica “White” laminate with”Satin Stainless” countertops and 1/4″ clear plexi glass fronts.  Behind the display bins is a 31′ x 8′ slatwall made of Formica “White” (gloss finish).

We used “Studio Teak” plastic laminate for cabinets and working surface in the  admin offices; and Zodiaq “Crema Botticino” quartz for the wall cap in the restrooms.

Laser Tag control desk is Abet Laminati “Shards” with open shelving and Zodiaq “Storm Grey” quartz countertops.  The portal  wall is a 3-form “Chroma Moss + Ghost” lightbox surround backlit with 3-form cool white dimmable lights.  The portal has a “Satin Stainless” base all around.  The laser tag purchase desk base is Formica “Black” plastic laminate cabinets with open shelving and countertops.

The drink rail, booth wall cap and bar wall caps in the billiards area are Cambria “Minera”.   The party room  cabinets and lockers are “Zebrano” laminate (on horizontal grain) with “Storm Grey” countertop surfaces.  The hostess stand is Formica “Ebony” with “Morning Frost” quartz countertop and valance for blue LED undercounter lighting.   The cafe counter is built on an existing half wall with Silestone “Bamboo” quartz countertops.

Wrap up your FUN with a beverage at the bar.  Cabinet wall face is Formica “Ebony” with a “Satin Stainless” valance for underlighting.  The drink rail and footrest are “Satin Stainless”; countertops are  Cambria “Minera” quartz.   The bottle display behind bar is cladded in “Satin Stainless” with 1/4″ frosted glass panels and “Minera” end splashes then uplit with LED lights.
