Every now and then we get the opportunity to build product for a customer and when it’s completed we actually get to have some fun using it.  At Creative Surfaces, we built the custom commercial cabinetry and interior signage for GreatLife Suburban Bowl…and now we  take our employees there for group bowling events.  This project consisted of a remodeling an existing reception desk, a concourse display case, building a new snack bar counter, men’s and women’s vanities and interior signage for the reception desk area.  

The existing reception desk was revamped to include a utility cabinet and 909 shoe cubbies.  These are made using Wilsonart “Asian Night” plastic laminate.  The front countertops were replaced with Corian “Milky Way” solid surface; the island countertop was replaced using Formica “Charcoal Boomerang” with a 1 1/2″ wide fluted metal edge.  Front side of the island received 1″ x 8″ ship-lap siding with “V” groove between boards.  The snack bar counter half wall cabinets are Formica “White” plastic laminate with a wall trim accent using Arborite Metalux “Brushed Pewter”.  The counter face feaures a 3″ deep triangle bump-out.  The triangle face is Formica “Spectrum Red” then halo-lit using red LED tapelight.  The concourse dispay case cabinet and countertop is Arborite “Brushed Pewter” with 1/4″ tempered glass doors and 1/4″ cork board on back wall of the cabinet case.  The men’s and women’s restrooms vanity countertop and apron are “Cambria quartz “Berwyn”.  Throughout the bowling alley there is 100′ of floating counters for food and beverages.  These are built using Formica “Charcoal Boomerang”.  

The interior reception desk sign is a non lit dimensional sign using 1/2″ clear plexi painted “Metallic Silver”, “Red” , and “Black” then flush mounted to the ship-lap siding wall.  “Suburban” is mounted using stand-off studs.
