Gold’s Gym – Faquay-Varina, NC

Faquay-Varina, NC

Wow!  It has been a busy time for our team of designers and skilled craftsmen.  We built these custom gym cabinets for Gold’s Gym Faquay-Varina, NC in March and installed them in early April 2020.

The reception desk and sales desk cabinets and half wall are made using Formica “Fox Teakwood” plastic laminate.  The cabinets in both areas feature some fun elements.  The reception desk has a built-in tiered retail display and Evonik “Satin Ice” 9mm thick panels mounted to the face of the desk using 1″ brushed aluminum standoffs and backlit.  The stainless steel toekick all around the reception desk features LED lighting.  The working surface and upper transaction countertops are Cambria “Brittanicca” quartz.

The back wall/credenza serves as a divider wall between the front desk and the gym floor.  This wall features two columns on each end built using Formica “Storm Teakwood” with Arborite “Inukshuk Taupe” column caps.  The gym floor side of this credenza wall offers 3-tier single lockers of Formica “Storm Teakwood” and Ojmar locks.  The Gold’s Gym logo sign on both sides of this wall is vinyl cut letters directly adhered to the glass panel.

The sales desk features 1 1/2″ thick divider panels of Formica “Storm Teakwood”; the countertops are Arborite “Artic Snow”.

In the retail area you’ll see a FUEL UP zone and movable retail displays.  The Fuel Up zone surround is Formica “Fox Teakwood”; the cabinets are Arborite “Inukshuk Taupe”.  Countertops and slanted shelves are Arborite “Artic Snow”.  The retail displays are Formica “Storm Teakwood” with “Artic Snow” countertops and shelves.  The two units sit on swivel casters with brakes.  On each unit is a Gold’s Gym header.  The sign is 6mm black PVC with yellow Gold’s Gym artwork printed on both sides of the display header.

At Creative Surfaces we truly are a one-stop-shop for all your custom gym cabinets.  But it doesn’t stop with cabinets…look at the interior wall graphics and branding.  This is a big part of fitness center design and inspiration. When employees or members walk into your fitness center, their first impression should align with your gym’s aesthetics. Indoor office signs, vinyl lettering for your lobby, wall murals and window graphics are a creative extension of your fitness center’s branding.  Interior branding works to catch the attention of prospective members, and motivate current members and employees.  Interior branding should build team member morale and create a pleasant atmosphere in which to do business.
