Avera on Louise has opened and it’s beautiful! Our guys were busy installing high-end commercial millwork and cabinetry most of the summer getting ready for their grand opening in October 2019.
The main atrium reception desk, the exterior elevator walls, nurses stations on two levels, the monumental spiral staircase, pharmacy cabinets, meditation room, bistro cabinets and serving counters, employee lockers, examination rooms and restroom vanities were all part of this project.
On the reception desk and three levels of elevator walls we used a combination of Wilsonart “Pinnacle Walnut”, Wilsonart “Loft Oak” and Wilsonart “Beigewood” (soft grain finish). Each element was designed and cut in a wave pattern then installed and separated by 3/4″ aluminum reveals. The 12″ base all around is plain sawn maple, stained to match “Pinnacle Walnut” plastic laminate. The countertops are Corian “Witch Hazel” solid surface on the reception desk.
The nurses reception desk, cabinets and divider walls are built using Wilsonart Chemsurf “Slate Grey” matte finish. We used 1/2″ frosted glass as accent panels on the divider walls. The face of each station is Interlam “Stainless Waves”; the countertops are Corian “Witch Hazel” solid surface. In the waiting areas we built privacy walls of “Pinnacle Walnut”. The wall caps are Corian “Witch Hazel” with frosted glass panels.
In the patient rooms you’ll find a nurse server. All cabinets in these rooms are built with Wilsonart “Beigewood” plastic laminate; Corian “Witch Hazel” countertops and Corian “Frost White” sink bowls throughout.
The monumental spiral staircase is the real focal point of Avera on Louise. On the staircase outside walls we used Wilsonart “Loft Oak” (fine velvet finish); on the inside walls we used rift cut white oak stained to match the outside walls.
Move to the pharmacy area. Here we built the cabinets, face of the wall and retail display stands using Wilsonart “Pinnacle Walnut” with aluminum reveals. The retail displays are four-sided and mobile. The countertops on the half wall and reception desk are Cambria “Bellingham” quartz.
The exterior mediation room wall panels are “Beigewood”. The glass insets are supported with 1/2″ aluminum bar stock reveals. The inside area of the meditation room features cabinets of Wilsonart “Pinnacle Walnut” and Cambria “Bellingham” on the sitting wall cabinets.
Last stop on the this tour of high-end commercial millwork and cabinetry completed by our team at Creative Surfaces is the bistro where you’ll see the face of these cabinets featuring panels of Chemetal “Beowulf Aluminum” mounted using 3/4″ standoffs then backlit with LED white lights. The coffee bar, trash receptacles and display case are made using “Pinnacle Walnut”; the countertops throughout are Formica “Bleached Concrete” solid surface.
