Beautiful changes taking place at the all new Children’s Inn (a division of Children’s Home Society) of Sioux Falls, This new facility showcasing custom commercial office cabinetry is home to victims of domestic violence opened in Fall 2022. It offers 40 beds for women who seek shelter from violence.
For the project we built the lobby reception area including donor wall, crisis center cabinets and desk, shelving in multiple storage rooms, client cafe counter, the hub desk and cabinets, residential entry beams. We did all the cabinets and writers’ desk in the 40 client rooms, cubbies throughout, conference room cabinets, staff breakroom cabinets and lockers as well as work & copy room cabinetry.
Throughout, we used Formica “Hard Rock Maple” plastic laminate on the cabinet exteriors and cubbies. The lobby reception desk and cabinets feature a bump-out of Formica ColorCore “White”; the countertops on the front and back cabinets are Cambria quartz “Whitehall”. The wall behind the desk features wall panels of 3Form Motion “Crystal White”.
In the lobby you’ll see a donor wall showcasing Birch Veneer wall panels with a clear coat finish.
In the crisis center and hub area, the desks have a half wall showcasing a bump-out of Formica “Hard Rock Maple” with Chemetal “Silver Aluminum” reveals. The upper countertops are Cambria “Whitehall; the lower countertops are Formica “Luna Concrete” solid surface.
We built and installed shelving of white Melamine in several storage closets throughout Children’s Inn.
The client cafe, dining room, and staff breakroom cabinets are Formica “Hard Rock Maple” with Formica “Luna Concrete” solid surface.
In addition to the commercial office cabinetry, all of the 40 client rooms have custom built closets and writers’ desks. These are made using Formica “Hard Rock Maple” with Formica “White Shalestone” plastic laminate countertops.
