Maguire Iron

Sioux Falls, SD

For this project we are going to look inside Maguire Iron and their new office building and manufacturing spaces that showcase some of the finest commercial cabinet manufacturing.  This new building, manufacturing and offices include the following cabinet elements:

  •  reception front desk
  •  reception kitchenette
  •  decorative staircase
  •  men’s and women’s restroom vanities
  •  window sills
  •  conference room cabinets
  •  lounge area
  •  open offices and remote work space
  •  flex space
  •  employee lockers
  •  mother’s room

All the cabinetry in this building we used a combination of wood finishes:

  1.  Laminart Veneer Art “Natural Eucalyptus“.
  2.  Maple wood stained Old Masters “Natural Walnut”

Let’s take a peek at some unique elements we did in the various spaces within Maguire Iron.

  • The reception desk and decorative staircase are the focal point of this project.  On the reception desk we used Cambria “Templeton” quartz for the lower countertops.  The upper countertops and surround is Granite “Vibranium”.  We installed cool white LED lights in the canopy.
  • The staircase features Laminart Wood “Butcher Block” style stair treads.  The treads are made using solid maple hardwood stained “Natural Walnut”.  Each stair is 58″ x 11″ deep.  We built 250 lineal feet of same solid maple for the handrails.
  • The reception kitchenette, men’s and women’s restroom vanities, and cafe kitchen cabinets are Formica “Camel Elm”.  The countertops in kitchenette and vanities is Hanstone “Embrace” quartz.
  • Move to the cafe kitchen.  The cabinets are Formica “Camel Elm” plastic laminate with Cambria “Templeton” on wall cabinets.  The island cabinet is Laminart “Platinum” with Hanstone “Embrace” for countertops.
  • In the lounge, flex area, and open offices remote work space we used Wilsonart “Solano Walnut” plastic laminate on the cabinets with Cambria “Templeton” quartz for countertops.  The sneeze guard panels are acrylic panels 3Form Varia “Warmstone”.
  • The window sills on the 1st and 2nd floors are Corian “Neutral Concrete” solid surface.  There are 42 window sills on these two floors.  On the 3rd floor we used Cambria “Templeton” quartz for these ten window sills.

In the manufacturing building we did several areas of commercial cabinet manufacturing.  The conference room cabinets, workroom, employee breakroom, and lockers.  Here we used Formica “Camel Elm” on all cabinets with Nevamar “Black Pearl” plastic laminate countertops.
