JLG Architects

Sioux Falls, SD

Fall of 2023 takes us to the JLG Architects building in downtown Sioux Falls where we will find beautiful commercial quartz countertops and cabinetry for this business.  The project allowed us to create some custom cabinetry for the expansion and growth of this architectural firm.  This is what we did for them:

  • Reception Desk
  • Conference Room
  • Employee Breakroom/Kitchen

In all areas we used Wilsonart “Black Velvet” plastic laminate for the cabinets with Cambria “Colton” quartz countertops.

The face of the reception desk features a 12″ mitered edge.  Both upper and lower countertops are Cambria quartz.

In the conference center we installed a 10″ high backsplash with a 5″ deep upper shelf.

The kitchen showcases an island and wall cabinets for employee use.  The sink is Glacier Bay 32″ Gunmetal Black undermount.  All cabinets have white melamine interiors with brushed brass hardware.

In the News:  Sioux Falls, SD – JLG Architects has recently completed an office renovation and expansion to accommodate the employee-owned firm’s exponential growth in South Dakota’s largest city.

Since 2016, JLG’s Sioux Falls team has leased a 4,125-square-foot space at 232 South Main Avenue. With unprecedented growth today and on the horizon, the firm recently acquired an additional 4,075 square feet of space that became available next door.

JLG has preserved the office’s original wood flooring as a remnant of the building’s Sioux Falls history.

The office renovation added a kitchenette, complete with black traceless casework, light countertops with dark veining, green backsplash tile, and brass hardware and fixtures. As an office that really enjoys spending time together, it was important to have enough seating for the group to eat together. To achieve this, they designed the kitchen with a fusion of tables, booth sitting, and bar height sitting. The kitchen can also transition to a working café during office hours.
