Wow!  What a beautiful outcome of custom hospital cabinetry and millwork we completed for the new Sanford Orthopedic Center.  Needless to say this was a huge project that kept our teams very busy.  We are honored to have been a part of bringing this new Orthopedic Center to life.

The spaces within this project include:

• Commons Dining
• Main Lobby MDF Panel
• Front Desk
• Lobby Market
• Main Entrance H Bar (front and back)

Let’s dig a little deeper into each space and explain some of the special elements used.  Beginning in the main lobby area.

1. For the H Bar we used White Maple stained “Special Walnut”.  The front of the H showcases black mirrors on back of open cabinets with 1/2″ tempered glass shelves on steel plates.  The countertops and end panels are Cambria quartz.  The back of the H features a wood bench/shelf of White Maple stained.
2. The main lobby also showcases 80′ of painted MDF panels around the upper perimeter of the lobby.  These MDF panels are painted Sherwin Williams “Colonnade Gray”.
3. In the market, front desk, commons dining, and the angled fin feature wall we used White Maple stained Minwax “Special Walnut”.  The market and commons dining showcase fixed shelving open cabinets with LED lights.  The countertops are Cambria “Torquay” quartz.

Beyond the lobby space you’ll head down the corridor to find more custom hospital cabinetry.  Here we will talk about the surgical spaces.

1. The surgeon and staff lounge cabinets are made using Wilsonart “Grey” plastic laminate.  The countertops and end panels in the surgeon lounge are Cambria “Weybourne” quartz.  The countertops and end panels in the staff lounge are Corian “Rain Cloud” solid surface.
2. In the dictation room you will see Wilsonart “Pinnacle Walnut” plastic laminate divider panels with Wilsonart “Classic Linen” laminate countertops.
3. We built and installed 158 male surgeon lockers and 48 female surgeon lockers.  The lockers have a shoe cubby below the locker.  These are built using White Maple stained Minwax “Special Walnut”.  The shoe cubby countertop is Corian solid surface.
4. There are 282 female staff lockers and 118 male staff lockers.  These are built using Wilsonart “Pinnacle Walnut” plastic laminate with white melamine interiors. All lockers showcase shoe cubbies below the locker.
5. We built cabinetry for several guestrooms and suites.  The cabinets in these rooms are White Maple stained Minwax “Special Walnut” with Cambria “Weybourne” countertops.
6. There are several other areas custom hospital cabinetry throughout Sanford Orthopedic Center of cabinets and countertops.  Where you see grey it is Wilsonart “Grey” plastic laminate.  Where you see wood, we used White Maple stained.  There are over 300 window sills in this new hospital.  All of them are Corian “Cameo White” solid surface.
