In the fall of 2023 our team traveled to Loveland, Colorado to install a fitness center cabinet manufacturing project there. Let’s take a peek at this fitness center and the scope of the project for Gold’s Gym including:
- a check-in front desk
- planter boxes
- men’s and women’s lockers
- men’s and women’s toilet partitions
- free standing double bay retail display
- history wall
The check-in desk is built using maple UV coated plywood on the exterior cabinets with black melamine interiors. The face of the half wall is Materials Inc “Aria Beton Vision” rough finish. It has the look of thin concrete sheets. We used the same product for the countertops throughout the check-in front desk area.
The brand signage on the front desk is a 24″ x 24″ non-lit sign 1/2″ thick black PVC mounted on backer board. The faces are digitally printed vinyl.
The history wall is constructed of 23″ x 23″ panels of 3/4″ thick pine plywood with pine edge banding on all sides. Some panels showcase direct printed graphics on the faces. Panels are spaced 1″ apart to expose painted reveals. The completed wall is 196″ x 143″ floor to ceiling.
We built three planter boxes for the vestibule/entry of the gym. These are built using 3/4″ thick pine plywood with clear finish on the exteriors. The interiors are Formica “Black” plastic laminate.
The retail display features 3 sections all built the same. They are 50″ wide x 117″ tall x 20″. They are free standing units. The cabinet and soffit is maple UV coated plywood. The metal is powder coated “matte black”. The bottom of all 3 units feature two pull out drawers.
Other fitness center cabinet manufacturing Creative Surfaces did on this project include the toilet partitions. These are made using Formica “Natural Birch” on the doors, pilasters, and dividers.
