Gloria’s Latin Cuisine – Katy, TX

Katy, TX

This project takes us to Gloria’s Latin Cuisine in Katy, TX where we built and installed the bar restaurant cabinetry.  The project included the focal piece – a tequila bottle display, hostess stand/planter box/wine bottle display, slat walls, front and back bar, service stations and bar table bases.

Throughout the restaurant there are several slat walls.  Here we used stained White Oak.  The slats are 2″ wide x 4″ deep; spaced 2 1/2″ apart.  They are supported by a powdercoated black steel frame.

The tequila bottle case sits in the vestibule is a 10′ x 8′ tall structure of 1′ x 1′ steel tubing and enclosed in glass.  The front has 3/8″ clear tempered glass sliding doors.  The floating shelves are Luxfit ultra slim LED lit panels.

The hostess stand, planter box, service station and wine bottle display cabinets are made using stained White Oak veneer on the half wall face with Omega National stained “Red Oak” half round slats.  The countertops are quartz.

In the dining area there is a three tier suspended shelving unit on three walls.   This unit is made using stained White Oak hardwood, then suspended with all-thread rods and brackets painted black.

Along the front bar we installed a 1/2″ x 2″ steel footrail powdercoated black; the bar millwork and countertops were built and installed by another vendor.  The back bar curved opening is matte black sheet metal cladding with steel floating shelves and black stemware racks.

The final piece of this bar restaurant cabinetry project is the bar dining tables that feature stained Omega National Red Oak legs with 1/2″ x 2″ steel footrail fastened to the wood legs.
