This two-part project involves high end restaurant millwork and cabinetry for the Cascata Italian Cuisine within the Canopy Hotel in the Steel District. For this restaurant project we built the following spaces:
- Host Stand
- Restaurant/Fireside Dining Booth
- Suspended Ceiling in Private Dining
- Restaurant Dining Room Booths
- Wine Room
- Social Seating Area
- Wardrobe
- Mens, Womens, and Family Restrooms
Throughout this project we used several elements within each space. From rift cut white oak to corrugated metals and architectural glass. The end result of this restaurant is stunning! Let’s take a closer look at some of the specifics:
- The host stand face is corrugated aluminum milled finish with a Formica “Finnish Oak” base. LED light strips below the stone countertop.
- The wardrobes at the entry are made using rift cut white oak stained. The door faces are Architectural Glass 1/4″ thick, 1/2″ reeded, Bronze tint.
- In the fireside seating space there are two “U shaped” booths. The dining room offers six booths. All the booths are built using poplar wood painted Benjamin Moore “Incense Stick” for the frames and platform structure. In the dining room the booths are separated by half walls covered with panels of bead board.
- The restaurant wine room is the focal point of this space. This one is beautiful. The cabinet structure and shelving is rift cut white oak. The room is 8′ tall x 16′ wide. A red oak ladder is mounted to a quiet glide rail and bracket system inside the wine room.
- Inside private dining is a barrel ceiling. This structure is 14′ x 13′ and made using 3/4″ plywood assembly with flat metal galvanized steel. Inside the frame is Corrugated Metal “Galvalume” finish arched two overlapping full length sheets; and lit using LED light strips.
