Our team was kept very busy early in 2024 designing, building, and installing the custom hotel cabinetry manufacturing we did for the Canopy Hotel at the Steel District in Sioux Falls. Within the Canopy Hotel is the Cascata Italian Restaurant and Lounge which we will look at in another project page.

This hotel showcases a lot of various elements within each space. Let’s take a look at some fun and eye-catching areas and the elements we used specifically in that space.
The check-in desk and retail niche, the coffee counter, lobby bar, fitness center cabinets, pantry, and suspended ceiling all feature cabinets and wall panels of Rift Cut White Oak (veneer/solid) with clear coat finish.
The face of the check-in desk (welcome desk) showcases Kaswell Flooring Systems, reclaimed end grain solid hickory blocks 6″x6″. The supports are Corrugated Aluminum Milled Finish.
In the retail niche we used White Oak floating shelves and countertops with white LED strips under the shelving.
For the lobby back bar we used 1/4″ black mirror walker glass with 1/2″ clear tempered glass shelves and LED light strips. The bar top is 2″ Hickory Edge grain butcher block with a stainless steel drink rail. Above the bar island and face of the front bar we used Corrugated Aluminum Milled Finish. The soffit is Poplar painted Benjamin Moore “Black”. The suspended liquor display is a 1″x1″ steel tube frame powdercoated Matte Black and McNichols flattened carbon steel open area. The complete structure is 136″x125″ deep.
The men’s, women’s and family restroom vanities showcase aprons of Formica “Black” matte finish. The countertops are Cambria quartz.
For the lobby coffee bar we used Rift Cut White Oak for all the hotel cabinetry manufacturing and wall panels with brushed stainless steel base trim. Added white LED lights to the toekicks and under counter lighting.
Other areas with hotel cabinetry manufacturing include the suspended ceiling in the guest retreat space. This is a 334″ x 209″ structure. It sits 13.6′ off the floor. There are 39 squares within the structure. Within each square there is one 16ga steel panel. All 39 panels (of various sizes) are powdercoated Matte Black. Each panel is mounted at a 75 degree angle inside every square of the structural frame of Rift Cut White Oak.
