Summer 2019 our team spent several weeks working with the marketing staff at McCrossan’s Boys Ranch to design, build and install the custom commercial graphics and cabinets for the new McCrossan’s Visitor Center on their campus.
The front registration desk half wall is made using Home Depot “Barnline” 3/8″ x 4″ multi width and multi-color Kiln Dried Barnwood. The employee side cabinets are Formica “Chestnut Woodline”. We put Formica “Himalayan Slate” on the lower countertops with Cambria 4cm “Harlech” on the upper transaction countertops. In the gift shop we used Formica “Chestnut Woodline” as well on the cabinets with Formica “Himalayan Slate” on the countertops. The slatwall and trim is Formica “Seasoned Planked Elm” plastic laminate.
The donation box stand is 30″ high of barnwood planks on face. The box is 18″x18″ of fixed acrylic panels framed in barnwood with a slot in top of acrylic panel. The cabinet sign is 1/4″ black acrylic panels with 3M print stuck to face and mounted with 1/2″ standoffs. “Donation Box” sign is direct print on 1/4″ clear acrylic.
Throughout the visitor center floor we built custom history displays of various sizes. These are made using cedar and pine 6″x6″ posts with 2″x4″ cross beam supports. Some of the displays showcase barnwood planks on face of the display with 2’x2″ steel straps painted black for vertical bracing. Some of the history panels are 3M print applied to countertop surface for a smootj finish. The wall murals are 3M print mounted directly to 1/2″ melamine panels. Some are 1/4″ black acrylic panels with 3M prints stuck to face and stood off wall with 1/2″ stainless steel standoffs.
The “McCROSSAMN HISTORICAL TIMELINE” sign is white letters direct print to Chemetal face then stuck to 1/2″ black pvc backer and mounted to the display with LAG screws. The white distressed fence in the farm area is 4″x4″ posts with 1″x4″ fencing planks and installed 6″ in front of the display. The animal silhouettes are various sizes These are direct print on polystyrene and lamianted to 3/4″ black pvc backer.
Creative Surfaces finished this custom commercial graphics and cabinets project by installing a variety of cubbies in the archive room of Formica “Black” plastic laminate. The warming kitchen cabinets are Formica “Chestnut Woodline” with Formica “Autumn Indian Slate” countertops. The men’s and women’s restrooms showcase aprons and countertops of Avonite “Aztec Brown”.
