Today we will take you to see some amazing custom restaurant cabinetry manufacturing and millwork. This project takes us to the Waterman Fish Bar in Charlotte, NC. For this space we did the:
- Front Bar – Service Bar
- Back Bar – Service Bar
- Front Bar -Oyster Bar
- POS Station
- Host Stand
- Booth and Dining Benches
- Feature Wall Cladding
- Canopy Frames
- Faceout Table
The wood finishes throughout this project are a combination of:
- Plain sawn white oak,
- A mix of solid red and white oak boards,
- 1×6″ tongue & groove,
- White oak butcher block, and
- Inland cedar
The countertops are Cambria “Carrick” in a matte finish.
Some special features of the restaurant cabinetry manufacturing include the following:
- The 10′ soffit around the bar and dining areas is 3/4″ thick ceiling wood veneer panels.
- The wall behind the host stand is tongue & groove wall cladding of red oak and white oak in an alternating sequence.
- The oyster bar is an extension of the service bar. The oyster bar features a butcher block countertop; the service bar wall face is 3/4″ black PVC panels wrapped in Lee Fisher Fishing Supply 1.5″ hex trap wire mesh.
- The feature wall in the dining room is 3/4″ x 2 1/2″ cedar slats alternating tall/short across the space.
- The dining/booth benches feature detachable foam cushion backs mounted using Z-clips; and velcro for the seats.
- Canopy frames are made using solid red oak and white oak slats/frames; and suspended from a Unistrut using aircraft cables. The complete structure is 21′ x 15′.
